British Indian Ocean Territory is an overseas territory comprising Chagos Archipelago and almost 1000 islands. Diego Garcia is the main inhabited island although no natives live there as all the Chagossian population was removed from the islands in 1960s and 1970s. Currently military personeel (primarily US) with civilian contractors live on the islands. There is no reports of football being played on the islands currently.

However, the displaced Chagossians have formed their own team and FA and recently participated in international tournament in Abkhazia (CONIFA World Cup), finishing bottom of the 12 team tournament.

Chagos Island FC was a former club team that played in the Crawley District League but was disbanded in 2010.
