The most remote island in the world and a dependency of Norway in the sub-antarctic area, it is also uninhabited. Majority of the island is covered with a glacier and a smaller island, Larsoya, also uninhabited lie close by. Nyrosya has a weather station but is unmanned. It is a nature reserve now. Unless visiting ship crews played amongst each other, there is no football matches recorded on Bouvet.
