CENTRAL LINE ISLANDS

-Jarvis Island: Uninhabited coral island,administered by US Fishand Wildlife Service. No soccer here.

JOHNSTON ATOLL

Currently with a population of zero, no teams exist! Population peaked in 2000, at 1100, but since then, with contamination of the atoll, no permanent population present. Special-use permit does not allow for soccer.

MIDWAY ATOLL

With no population and being designated a Wildlife Refuge and with the recent Tsunami of 2011, there is currently no soccer activity on these islands. However, prior to 1980, there were close to 400 people residing here. Possibly some of them played with a round ball informally but no real competition ever took place.

NORTHERN LINE ISLANDS

-Kingman Reef

-Palmyra Atoll

 

Largely submerged, playing soccer on Kingman Reef would be a major feet and there is obviously no recorded activity as such; Palmyra atoll, likewise, has no recorded soccer matches, with only a temporary population of 4-20 scientists at a time.

NORTHERN PHOENIX ISLANDS

Consisting of:

-Baker Island

-Howland Island

 

Both these small islands are uninhabited and are wildlife refuges. No air force station exist anymore.

 

WAKE ISLAND

Run by US Air Force, it is one of the remotest islands in the world. Access is restricted and only 94 people currently reside here. Soccer does not appear to be high on their priority list. No teams.
